Interview With Rap Artist ‘S.T.I.N.E’

Tell us a little about yourself?

I am a rapper from Central New York. I’m 26 years old, I love making music and writing lyrics. It makes it so much better to have others enjoy what you came up with.

How did you come up with your artist name?

My name is S.T.I.N.E which stands for Struggle Through If Nothing Else.

And I came to it because that is my way of life just keeping working and struggling until you make it.

How long have you been in the music industry?

I have been making music for about 2 years now.

How did you get started in the music business in the first place?

I came from a musical family growing up music was all around me and I always enjoyed writing and the dream grew as I got better and better.

How would you describe your latest single?

It is a lyrical track like most of mine. I try to make my songs relatable to the listener and enjoyable so people can jam to it.

When can fans expect the visuals for the single?

Soon I will be making music videos for a lot of my songs most likely spring to summer shooting a lot.

Who are your inspirations in the music industry?

Eminem, Logic, Nf and Token are probably some of the biggest inspirations.

How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

Sometimes it just comes to me, you can feel it and then I just write, other times a beat will inspire me and make me feel something and it just goes. But I write and then work with the beat and edit the lyrics to work with the beat.

What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?

The concept is basically just believe in yourself, and fight for your dreams and also just make some fire music.

Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

Eventually I will be touring and doing shows, Im working on building a following first.

What did you buy with your first check off music?

A new microphone.

What are must haves when your in the studio working?

Microphone, computer and headphones other than that you just have to feel the music.

What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?

Just don’t give up and keep branching out and networking and getting to know more people that do music.

Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?

I will be I’m sure.

What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?

I recently collabed with Playboyakarussel and it was a great experience and we came out with a fire track.

Name an artist(s) that you would love to work with?

Token or Logic theyre just so talented we could come up with something great.

Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?

Definitely the flows and content thats what im more focused on when i make music.

What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc..)

Better production honestly but im working towards it.

What’s your all-time favorite song?

I’m not sure because it changes as new music comes out but probably.

Under Pressure by Logic because its 9 minutes of creative genius.

What was the last album you listened to?

Music to be Murdered by B side by Eminem.

Your favorite artist of all time and why?

Probably Eminem because he is out of this world at lyricism, flow execution and just very technically impressive.

Whose your favorite five artist right now?

Eminem, Logic, Token, Dax, NF.

In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?

Eminem he paved the way for a lot of artists.

Who have been some of your favorite artists that you’ve been able to work with?

Haven’t worked with many yet but it will be coming.

How do you feel about the current state of music?

I feel talent is making a comeback just have to find the right artists.

Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?

Maybe the Grammys.

What is your main goal as far as music?

Make a living off just making music and just be acknowledged for my talent and hard work I put in.

Who would you say your music relates to the most?

The working class.

What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)

I don’t try to sound like anyone else and my lyrics are written differently than ive seen others write.

When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?

Writing songs honestly or listening to music.

If you could work with any producer who would it be?

Dj Khaled just because hed probably get some big names on there as well.

What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?

Every person that follows me or subscribe to my channel every time is a highlight.

What is your dream venue to perform at?

Madison Square garden or the superbowl halftime show.

What’s the name of the last book you read and by whom?

Harry potter, JK Rowling.

What’s your favorite sports team and why?

Don’t have one.

Whose your favorite actor or actress and their best movie?

Will Ferrell, Talladega Nights.

Name someone famous who inspires you and why?

Dax, he did it all independently.

What can we expect from you in the future?

More fire songs.
