Interview With Artist & Songwriter ‘Eunique Bell’

Tell us a little about yourself?

Euniquebell, 28 yrs, I’m the middle child of 4. I only have one sister and she’s younger, haven’t seen her since she was 5 months. I have one older brother and one younger. Me and the boys are still in touch, always have been but we were adopted out when I was 7. I am am originally a writer, poet, singer, actress. However I rap as well. Detroit, Michigan is and always have been the residence, but I am very soon relocating to Georgia.

How did you come up with your artist name?

My Artist name reflects my energy. “I AM UNIQUE”, so much so I had to spell it with the BIG “E”. Eunique is who I am, a complete “IT FACTOR”. The last name “BELL” was inspired by a dear friend that is no longer here with us, “ACE RING BELLS”…we were close at the time and I felt “My Name Rang Bells too”. So Stamped “EUNIQUEBELL”.

How long have you been in the music industry?

I have been on and off in the industry since about 2014, but seriously consistently since 2018.. It took me a minute to really know the business and not get used.

How did you get started in the music business in the first place?

When I decided to really turn poetry in to music, it was because of a big homie from where I’m from, who could literally, produce 100s of songs. It was mind blowing and I want to reach that level of passion one day. So S/O to “Crack Tv” from Detroit 48205.

How would you describe your latest single?

My latest Single “Gangstas Cry” by Eunique Bell truly reminds me of 90s R&b music, that will be played for a life time. This song came from a woman’s intuition point of view. “I can tell somethings wrong because your actions are not the same as they were before” is the point I was making , when I wrote “GANGSTAS CRY” . It reminds me of something Mary Jay or Brandy would have wrote. But its an all time favourite of all the songs I’ve written. Its something people can Feel.

Who are your inspirations in the music industry?

My Music Industry Inspirations would be “Lauren Hill, Dej Loaf, Eve, Brandy”

How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

Writing a song has many elements. For starters the beat itself already has to speak to me. Then my heart sings to the track. I always want people to visualize the vibe I create in my music.

What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?

My new project will just be shining light on how diverse I am as an artist. My talent is bigger than rap. Id like to do some Pop, Dance, EDM, Reggae, Soul etc. Right now just building my producer network, looking for the right sound.

Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

Indeed “Gangstas Cry” the tour starts May5,2021

What did you buy with your first check off music?

Nothing yet but I will probably buy a billboard, or a RV for my family to travel in.

What are must haves when your in the studio working?

When I’m recording I prefer closed sessions so I can focus and relax.

What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?

The best advice in this business that I got that I follow now is to know my worth and never settle.

Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?

Not sure just yet.

What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?

Not really working with, however I was pleasured to be at a video shoot where Kashdoll was and she was such a sweet heart, she loves children. She was very welcoming to my daughters and she had a humble spirt . Very rememberable.

Name an artist(s) that you would love to work with?

I would actually love to work with Dej loaf, or Roddy Rich

Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow
and content?

I would say I’m more admired because of my lyrical content.

What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career?

I could improve my stage presence and my video production.

What’s your all-time favourite song?

My all time favourite songs are “Gangstas Cry” Eunique Bell and Roddy Rich “bacc Seat”.

Your favourite artist of all time and why?

Lauren Hill her vocals are Angelic

Whose your favourite five artist right now?

Spike D, Kcamp, Roddy Rich, Inayah Lamis, Summer Walker.

In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today
and why?

Most influential right now is would be Lil Durk. He has music that many can relate too.

Who have been some of your favorite artists that you’ve been able to work with?

How do you feel about the current state of music?

I feel real music is underrated and nonsense is idolized.

Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?

Bet or the Grammys.

What is your main goal as far as music?

For the world to know who God is because of the light he shines on me.

Who would you say your music relates to the most?

My music relates to poets, lyrical minds.

What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)

I am extremely different because I can make music of all genres.

When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?

I love to rest, and be with my family.

If you could work with any producer who would it be?

Missy Elliot.

What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?

I learned to actually be successful in music and to brand & secure Eunique Bell.

What is your dream venue to perform at?

My dream venue would again be Grammys or Coachella.

What’s the name of the last book you read and by whom?

Cradle to the Grave by Donna Johnson.

What’s your favourite sports team and why?

Detroit Lions, their uniforms are nice.

Whose your favourite actor or actress and their best movie?

Regina Hall, The Best man Holiday.

Name someone famous who inspires you and why?

Jayda Wayda, she’s a true business woman, that’s beautiful and focused.

What can we expect from you in the future?

You can expect me to give back to communities in need. I am extremely interested in helping the youth.
