My name is Topps and I’m a Singer, Rapper and Actor based in the UK. I’m all about positive energy and positive vibes.
How did you come up with your artist name?
My artist name actually came from my hairstyle! The hairstyle that I have is called a high-top so I thought great! I’ll use that and that’s how I transitioned into the name “Topps”.
How long have you been in the music industry?
I have officially been in the music industry since 2018 but I’ve only released 2 songs so I would still say I am quite new in the industry!
How did you get started in the music business in the first place?
I have always been an all round entertainer & performer so for me it felt so natural to transition from acting into music which I also love doing.
How would you describe your latest single?
The way I would describe my latest single would be that it’s energetic and has an element of storytelling to it.
When can fans expect the visuals for the single?
The visuals are actually out now here on my YouTube channel. I would recommend everyone going on there to see the brilliant visuals for the song.
Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
A few of my music inspirations include my late father Ray Watts who was a musician, Skepta, Neyo, Usher and Ella Mai.
How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
I always think of scenarios that I’ve experienced in my life that other people can relate to then go from there to write a song about it!
What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?
It’s going to be all about life experiences people can relate to.
What did you buy with your first check off music?
This is gonna sound really boring but I actually bought a new fridge with my first pay check from music because I needed one!
What are must haves when your in the studio working?
For me it’s all about the vibe you have in the studio! As long as I’m relaxed and have positive energy around me that’s all I need to make a great track!
What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
The best piece of advice that I have followed is staying true to yourself and make music that gives off positive vibes and energy!
Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?
That is definitely the plan. I cannot wait to collaborate with different artists from around the world!
What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?
Unfortunately, I haven’t had the pleasure of doing so yet but I’m gonna make sure the first artist that I collaborate with will be something special!

I would love to work with Usher, Chris brown and Youngn Lipz.
Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?
I think it’s a mixture of them all to be honest! I think that my music can & does connect with different people in different ways so depending on the person would depend on which part of my songs they like the most!
What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc…)
I would say Stage presence but only because I am yet to perform on a stage live!

I don’t think I could choose, there are so many good ones!
Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?
I would love to perform at the Brits or the Grammys one day for sure!
What is your main goal as far as music?
My main goal with music is to become an international worldwide star who’s music connects with everyone around the global.
Who would you say your music relates to the most?
I think my music relates to everyone because I make sure that I talk about topics in my songs that everyone can relate too!
What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)
I think what makes me different is my versatility in terms of the different styles of songs I can do and what I can also do as a performer in terms of being a musician/actor etc.
When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?
I like to go to the gym and chill with my friends and hangout and watch some sports! I’m a big football/soccer fan and my team is Arsenal!
What is your dream venue to perform at?
I’d love to perform at MSG in New York!
What’s your favourite sports team and why?
My favourite sports team would be Arsenal. They are Football / Soccer team!
