Tell us a little about yourself and how did you come up with your artist name?
Hey nice to meet you and that’s great question to start with.
Well its not a artist name!! It’s my full given birth name. I’m Cherokee Indian my mother was full blood Cherokee and my father was French this was the name I was born with and its meaning is not the same in the outside world thinks its pronounced like (rude) but not the same meaning. It’s about the kings road to fortune.
How long have you been in the music industry?
I think ever since I was born (hahaha) my father played guitar and mother always sang a lot in the house plus my brother also played guitar and the drums and my sister and I just followed just as much as we could making (noise) But in this business I have been in this for around 15 years now .
How did you get started in the music business in the first place?
Well when I left the reservation I wasn`t looking to get into this business at all!!!
I was working as a dishwasher and I passed by a place where they were holding a talent contest. The first place was 50 dollars and the second place was 25 dollars and then 3rd was 15 dollars well I wanted to eat and any money was better then nothing so I stepped into this contest and took 3rd place and 15 dollars and it was free to join so I took a chance. But little did I know that my 3rd place would change my life!!!
There was a lady in the crowd that came up to me and said I would like to take you to a studio. I never heard or seen this before so I’m new to this outside world and said I can go.
That was the beginning and the end for me so many sounds and so many buttons to touch wow .
The man that was working in the studio had no patience for a small kid touching everything hahaha lets just say he taped my hands together and said don’t touch!!
but I waited until he went to the bathroom or went to go eat and I touched everything and made so many sounds. Ok he was mad then finally he gave in and started to show me things and how they work then he finally became my mentor.
How would you describe your latest single?
The latest single is released now is called (Say Goodbye) It’s about a relationship that can`t work itself out they fight a lot. So they just give up and move on sometimes its better to be alone then with someone else always arguing.
When can fans expect the visuals for the single?
The new video is out now and can be viewed on YouTube here filmed by Vladimir Skrynnikov. The story is based off a true story.
Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
I have to say I am inspired by all sounds and artist that step out of the box to create something new not stay in a genre just do what feels good to them. Never Follow Rules That Have Been Set. Set Rules To Be Followed!!
How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
Well I never know when a song will come to me. I can be sleeping and see it in a dream then I get up and start to record in my phone so I don’t lose the melody I always find words or a noises. I can hear something in the streets and then I go from there to start the process sounds all sounds.
What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?
The new album called (ROUX`D BEHAVIOR) is about Love, Hate having two sides of yourself and dealing with both. I have a crow and wolf inside myself and I have finally come to terms that these sides are me. Everyone has a few different personality deep inside and try to hide them by putting on a mask finding the balance between both is hard. This is a very personal album. It’s been a long hard road to understand why somethings are meant to be broken or something are meant to be!!
Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?
OH!!! yes we are planning to tour around Europe and a few other countries we are hoping to announce very soon on the website. We had a tour planned before the world into lock down which was very sad. We were going to promote another album that was out called (2FACEDNROUX`D).
What did you buy with your first check off music?
OHHHH its crazy I bought a Big Batman statue 🙂 and a few comic books then a car .
What are must haves when your in the studio working?
For me its positive energy and a few Snickers and a toilet 🙂 and a open minded
producer a little J.D. also .
What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
There are 2 rules I still follow today. DO IT FROM THE HEART!! and be careful with who your friends.
Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?
AS we speak now I am working on 2 new artists one is a all girl group called (TWIN SINSATION) pop group. and a jazz artist called STEVIE. Both are great and fun to work with an totally different genres. From fun dance pop music to jazz. I am always looking out for new artists and who I can collaborate with.
What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?
A DJ in Sweden called DJ Mangoo we worked together on a few songs and it was great very easy to be around and very fast plus a lot of fun club hoping we got 3 songs done our sleep habits were the same. We never sleep hahaha.
Name an artist(s) that you would love to work with?
Aerosmith, Pink, Anastasia, and a few Russian artist I am getting to know about.
Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?
I would like to think both. But I really hope the melodies because a good melody is a hard thing to forget even if you never heard the song before. Once you hear a great hook its stuck ..
What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc…)
REALLY great question !!!! I can’t get around the social media thing. I been trying to learn it and its really strange I’m suppose to be more open to let people in and I can’t seem to let go I’m a very shy person, that’s why the album is called ‘Rouxd Behaviour’. I have been so private it think it hurt more then helped me .
What’s your all-time favourite song?
BB KING THE THRILL IS GONE !!!! that’s it right there.
What was the last album you listened to?
The FOREIGNER first album I’m listening to it now as we speak. The sounds back then wow its amazing to listen to in the headset ..
Your favourite artist of all time and why?
Prince !!! that man could play everything and didn’t get enough credit for his guitar playing for real I rate him as the top five guitarist in the world he was a full package. He could go anywhere he wanted with music from rock to blues to jazz .That’s an artist without boundaries.
Whose your favourite five artists right now?
OHHHH I would have to say like this.

In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
That is a tough question. I’m very classic rock guy so I look at the ones that paved the way for this rock music genre to be born. Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Kiss, Little Richard, Chuck Berry so many more.
Who have been some of your favourite artists that you’ve been able to work with?
Its been producers more for me I have been so blessed to work some of the best of the best from CHRIS TSANGARIDES, JAY MESSINA, JEFF NORTHRUP these 3 names are rock and roll history without them there is no JOHN LENNON, NO KISS,YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, THIN LIZZY, AEROSMITH and many others.
How do you feel about the current state of music?
Well the other day I had a discussion with a guy that came over to my table when I was eating and proceeded to say that rock is dead no one listens to it anymore. I had to stop eating and tell him Rock is the second highest selling genre in the world. but then after our little discussion he said I like your music still I think music might have lost its way a little while back but I do believe its bringing out more and more great indie artist into the spotlight now I do believe the current state of music is that its reshaping itself right now and in a few it will all work out…
Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?
I just played the other day an Russian award show in Moscow and it was amazing didn’t expect to win an award for the best International band that was a great surprise and it was amazing feeling. Maybe MTV music awards if they ever put back the rock category!!!
What is your main goal as far as music?
To release as much music as I can in this life time. I write everyday and know I will not get to release it all but trying to get it all done.
Who would you say your music relates to the most?
Working class men and woman and people that just love to turn up the radio and rock out and sing along and don’t care about the car next to them. Play that air guitar and be proud . the girl or boy standing in the mirror thinking one day I will be a star!!! keep dreaming ..
What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)
Hard to say!!! But I think work ethics while they are sleeping I am up working. I look at the art as a competition like in boxing want to be great then do the things others wont do !!! stop complaining and just do .
When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?
I don’t relax hahahaha I am working all the time. Write now I am finishing up a short horror film I wrote and directed and now editing hope to have it released soon . its a low budget thing but I felt I needed to do it and well it happened.
If you could work with any producer who would it be?
I would like to work with TIMBALAND,JAMES MICHAEL ,RICK RUBIN,NILE ROGERS.
What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?
That been traveling around the world and meeting new people and seeing their smiles and watching them sing the songs wow who would have thought a little native America/Swedish/French boy would travel to so many places!!! Never in a million years but I dreamed it once I left and haven’t looked back .. buying a house my own place and a car ..
What is your dream venue to perform at?
Well the Hollywood Bowl , Coachella these are on my to do list 🙂
What’s the name of the last book you read and by whom?
The Little Prince yes i still read this. and War and Peace i still get my head around it 🙂
What’s your favourite sports team and why?
Not to much into sports teams but if I had to go with one Manchester United.
But I more of a boxing fan. You can talk to me about boxing and I will be there all day long in a conversation..
Whose your favourite actor or actress and their best movie?
Leo DiCaprio he switches roles like myself in music. Doesn’t repeat the same old role ..
Name someone famous who inspires you and why?
When I was young I seen picture of Albert Einstein and his hair was wild and had a weird look and I asked a teacher about him she told me he was a famous theoretical physicist.
I thought he was a musician then I researched him a little bit more and found out he was an accomplished violinist and once said if he had not pursued science he would have become a musician
What can we expect from you in the future?
More music and bigger shows I’m always pushing the boundaries I want to all I can in this short life spam. I want to make a documentary about life on a reservation and make other movies and keep doing what I love to do that just begin happy living life as hard and fast as I can ..
