Interview With Rap Artist & Model ‘Elias’

Tell us a little about yourself?

I’m a nice guy and father of one, who appreciates making connections and spending time with my family or close friends. I know life is not going to be perfect but I try to appreciate and value every lesson it has to offer and enjoy the ride.

How did you come up with your artist name?

I changed it for rebranding but it’s my middle name.

How long have you been in the music industry?

It’s been 14 years now.

How did you get started in the music business in the first place?

I always loved rapping for fun with my cousin first then some friends from around my way to see who was better than who. Eventually one of them R.I.P. Nekoro wanted us to form a rap crew like Wu-Tang or Diplomats/G-unit. Shortly after he passed only me and a few others actually enjoyed it so we went to the studio to record. I was 18 when I dropped my first mixtape right before my son was born then started to work on my craft more from there.

How would you describe your latest single?

TRAPMARCO took me back to those days where I just loved being in that zone of making music with not to much thought about how it’s going to be judged. Its cool, fun, nasty, real, hype all in one definitely was trying to give people something to play on repeat and enjoy each track.

When can fans expect the visuals for the single?

I’m working on a few concepts on this project and my next single but I got a storyboard to finish then we shooting the video and it will be out for everyone to watch.

Who are your inspirations in the music industry?

it’s so many but J.Cole is my favourite next to Kendrick of course. I got a list of my top 100-150 lol I like artists who make you think or feel something after you listen, nothing wrong with a good time but I also want to know how you feel and if it’s inspiring or something to learn about the person as much as what they do.

How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

The process is always different for me, I sometimes get a song from hearing the beat, see what type of vibe I’m getting from it or if I hear it and it gives me an idea for something to talk about I go from there. Now I can feel the beat but not have the lyrics all the way, I’ll start with either a hook first or a few bars see if I like what I came up with and continue or start over. Sometimes I’ll write the bars/hook and won’t finish tell a day maybe weeks later but if I’m in the studio at that moment and it’s a good night I finish then record it.

What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?

The next one is going to be R&B, I have a lot of females in my fan base who really likes my love type of songs, so I want to give them something to enjoy.

Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

I do have plans of performing again once the restrictions are lifted and would love to do a city to city tour in the near future.
