I always went by Nyce which stands for Not Your Common Enemy since elementary school because it fit me. Later I added the Hitz because I have always been about striving to make Hitz.

How long have you been in the music industry?

For as long as I can remember. I started Djn in the 4th Grade making mixtapes and I just kept expanding my interest in the field of music.

How did you get started in the music business in the first place?

I always watched my father and my uncle. My father was a big deal in the gospel scene around here. And my uncle managed Boyz II Men and Diddy and others so watching them made me pursue it.

How would you describe your latest single?

Well, the project is called Now That You Know and I’d describe it as just letting everyone know how I felt at the time also while letting them know I am for real with this music as well because a lot of people didn’t know.

We are working on if we are going to do visuals for this project or wait for the next one since this was the first.

I’d say Bryan Cox, polo da don, Ty Dolla, and anyone who can write or produce a great song.

I basically freestyle the song based on the feeling, take what I like from that and then complete writing it and I only give myself 30mins to complete a record.

What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?

I’m keeping it on brand with relationships and having a good time and trying to speak to situations any man may go thru.
