Tell us a little about yourself?
I am a 19 year old artist from Mexico City. I make all types of music really: Rock, Pop, Hype, Rap etc.
How did you come up with your artist name?
One day my brother kept calling me “Saint” because I stole his AirPods and I thought to myself “I like being called saint”. So I just added the z in the end for aesthetic reasons.
How long have you been in the music industry?
I just started in January 2022.
How did you get started in the music business in the first place?
So my uncle knows how to play the piano, and while he was playing I was just mumbling and it sounded kinda nice. So I just bought a microphone and the rest is history.
How would you describe your latest single?
When can fans expect the visuals for the single?
I’m working with some videographers and SFX artists to try to make something happen as soon as possible.
Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
Definitely Drake, Tyler The Creator, Juice WRLD, The Kid Laroi etc.
How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
I don’t write songs. I just go in the booth and freestyle whatever’s on my mind at that moment in time.
What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if working on one?
Collabs with different artists, some well-known, some not but it’ll be a fire I promise you.
Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?
Definitely in the future but it’s still too early for me to do that yet. I’m still a rookie.
What did you buy with your first check off music?
A new microphone because my little brother broke the last one I had. But it’s lowkey a blessing because I have a better mic now.
What are must haves when you’re in the studio working?
Gotta have water, people listening giving opinions, some fire beats and that is all you need.
What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
Don’t do drugs, even though this industry tends to offer you a lot, stay clean off that stuff.
Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?
Oh for sure. My next EP is with Yung Frendi, who is a good friend of mine and an amazing artist.
What artist have you had the pleasure of working with and what was it like?
I’ve worked with Lil Saku, Yung Frendi. Skaiwater etc. It was really fun. We connected ideas and came up with something truly great.

Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?
I think my music is enjoyed more for the flow and melodies I create within the song.
What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc…)
I definitely need to improve on my production, engineering and stage present because I have severe anxiety.

Your favourite artist of all time and why?
My favourite artist would be Juice WRLD because he had such a unique talent and he made the most of it.

The Kid Laroi, Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West and myself obviously.
In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
Definitely, Drake or Uzi because they created their own sound and it’s clearly worked out for them.
Who have been some of your favourite artists that you’ve been able to work with?
Definitely my guy Yung Frendi, Skaiwater. ZVC and Bradley.
How do you feel about the current state of music?
I mean it’s going smoothly as it should be but people have just got to work on their craft a lot more and not just post anything on SoundCloud and think they’ll be huge.
Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?
Definitely Rolling Loud. Never actually been to one but to perform there would be a dream come true.
What is your main goal as far as music?
Make the best music I can make and see how far it takes me,
Who would you say your music relates to the most?
Probably a mix of Juice, The Kid Laroi and a little bit of Uzi.
What separates you from other artists? (What makes you different?)
I think what makes me different is that I do pretty much everything myself and it’s authentic and that’s why people should listen.
When you’re not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?
I like basketball a lot, if anyone sees this I got a grand if you beat me to 21 haha.
If you could work with any producer who would it be?
Daytrip 100%, and Pierre would be insane to work with.
What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?
Getting a song to 150k plays definitely made my week.
What is your dream venue to perform at?
Leeds would be sick as well to be honest haha.
What’s the name of the last book you read and by whom?
It is called “No Longer Human” by Osamu Dazai (R.I.P)
What’s your favourite sports team and why?
Golden State Warriors, because I’m a huge bandwagoner of Stephen Curry.
Who’s your favourite actor or actress and their best movie?
I know this may break the internet, but I do not enjoy movies. I think they’re too long and I get bored very easily, Sorry.
Name someone famous who inspires you and why?
Skaiwater. Came up from nothing and now he’s basically making a whole new wave of music.
What can we expect from you in the future?
You can expect great music, hopefully, sold out venues, great collaborations and much more.

For right now I’m only on SoundCloud but depending on when this is coming out I will be on all major platforms with a new single called “Reminisce” by the name “Saintz”.
