Tell us a little about yourself?
I currently produce music for a diverse array of artists. Recognised as a leading Miami, Florida area music producer. I have joined forces with many successful and up and coming artists to help with their music production efforts. The music I make represents the many characteristics that I have. Versatile in my approach with many genre influences. I’ve been blessed to be in the music industry and with my business I help artist, producers and engineers through collaboration production and professional services. Along with that I’m also part of the staff at SAE that helps producers and engineers alike. So it’s safe to say I’m living out my purpose while making my passion my career.
How did you come up with your artist name?
My last name is Debreus and I love beer too. Homies of mine from my old neighbourhood of El Portal\95th called me Bruski and I ran with that as my character and brand. When I became a producer I became ‘Bruski Beats’. Plus I come with something cool and fresh every time so grab a Bruski.
How long have you been in the music industry?
As a producer artist 10+ years and executive producer at my company Bruski Beats Productions.
How did you get started in the music business in the first place?
The first time I ever sequenced a beat was when I was in college in Tallahassee. Shout out to Spence Chee and Smiley. Spence had a keyboard I started toying with and the moment I put one sound with the other and it sounded good I added some drums and it was history from there. That brought us together to form a rap group and we started getting booked for shows in small towns on the outskirts of Tallahassee. We opened one night for Eightball and MJG which was my first live performance and from there I knew I would be in music.

How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
It can be a clap, hi hat, piano, guitar, rim shot sample of all sorts… but there’s so many variables as to what the universe sends me. It’s like it comes out of thin air and I just follow the process because the universe does not lie and the universe does not deny. The feeling I can have at the moment of creation is what transitions into what the audience eventually hears from me. When I work with artists the vibe is inspired by the beats and the magic happens from the motivation and influences of that artist.
